The Role
Reporting to the Global Health, Program and Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing ongoing project management support
- Ensuring planned implementation of activities
- Monitoring and evaluating plans to assess progress
- Preparing program reports and managing program expenditure
Skills Required
To excel in this role, you must bring the following experience and attributes:
- Post-graduate qualification (Master of Public Health or International Development)
- A proven track record managing complex, donor-funded programs in the Asia-Pacific Region
- A minimum of five years’ experience in health and development programming in low and middle-income countries
- Technical knowledge in gender and inclusive development practice
- Ability to work autonomously and with a high level of initiative and sound judgement
- Ability to work within a team in a flexible and collaborative manner
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with confidence and tact with a range of professional staff and volunteers
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and diplomacy in dealing with regional and country level counterparts
- Highly developed organisational skills in maintaining and implementing effective administrative systems and procedures
- Ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities and work to timelines in a challenging environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong report writing skills
