The Role
As the Executive Officer - Governance & Policy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and policy framework of the organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Organising ORIC Certification: Ensuring the organisation meets ORIC certification standards and requirements.
- Incorporation Process: Overseeing the application for incorporation to ORIC and ensuring a smooth process.
- Setting Up Policies: Developing and implementing effective governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Setting Up Board: Facilitating the setup and functioning of the board, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
- Collaborating with organisation: Working closely with the Chair to create comprehensive board policies.
- Stakeholder Management: Engaging with stakeholders at various levels to build strong relationships and ensure transparency in governance.
Skills Required
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must bring the following qualifications and experience:
- Proven Experience: Experience in policy and governance, particularly in the not-for-profit sector.
- Not-for-Profit Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience working within a not-for-profit organisation, understanding its unique challenges and opportunities.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organizational and project management abilities to effectively set up board procedures and policies.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with stakeholders and board members.
- Initiative and Efficiency: A self-starter who can take initiative and set actionable steps in place to achieve goals efficiently.
