With a commitment to reduce stigma and discrimination, this organisation has developed and delivered effective health and wellbeing programs for the community over the past forty years including health clinics, peer workshops, community outreach, and family violence services.

The Role
  
Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, you will be responsible for delivering key financial functions in alignment to the organisations strategic goals and objectives. Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Distribution and expenditure of fund streams
  • Governing and managing income different income streams
  • Managing the finance team, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
  • Completing routine organisational finance activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Ensuring payroll processes are accurately completed in a timely manner
  • Completing regular financial analysis and reporting, to identify trends and optimise process
  • Developing financial budgets, policies, procedures, and internal controls

Skills Required
  
You will have a number of years’ experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector and hold:
  • Demonstrated understanding of Australian accounting principles, regulations, and requirements
  • CPA qualifications
  • Understanding of both NFP sector
  • Good understanding of different income streams from health networks
  • Strong proficiency in financial budgeting, analysis, forecasting, and reporting
  • Proven success in developing effective collaborative partnerships with stakeholders of all levels
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills, with advanced Excel and MYOB experience
  • Adaptable to change, with an ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced MYOB and Excel
