The Organisation
  
Our client is a well respected health related, national peak organisation in Sydney CBD. They are looking for some part time assistance for approx 3 months.


The Role
  
This is a part-time role and the working days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In this position, you will be responsible for providing support including, but not limited to finance, administration and human resources. You will report directly to the Manager of Business Operations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Undertake accounts payable & accounts receivable functions
  • Reconciliations of bank accounts
  • Process month end journals, adjustments and depreciation entries
  • Manage international funds transfers
  • Undertake payroll functions, including processing fortnightly payroll via Xero
  • Assist Manager on preparation of budgets, annual reports and grants acquittals

Skills Required
  
You have good understanding of accounting principles including accrual accounting, reconciliations and payroll. Your experience will include:
  • Minimum two years general accounting and office administration experience
  • Post-secondary qualification in accounting or business administration
  • High degree of confidentiality, excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience in the Not For Profit sector
  • Familiar with the accounting system XERO
  • Exposure to online banking including overseas transfers
