The Organisation
With approximately 600 staff across NSW including Wollongong, Nowra, Batemans Bay, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Deniliquin and Orange, CareSouth provides early intervention, child protection, youth support, permanency support and foster care, residential housing, clinical support and NDIS services to young people, families and whole communities.

The Role
You will lead and drive the organisation’s vision and strategic direction through campaigns, programs and partnerships in collaboration with the sector. As the CareSouth visionary you will be responsible for overall organisational management and governance, and oversee planning, advocacy, and operations.
Working in close partnership with the board and maintaining a very strong presence across all regions, you will ensure CareSouth remains adaptive to community needs, sector developments, and emerging opportunities.
You will ensure the leadership team delivers high quality and exceptional services, that adhere to the standards set out by the Department of Communities and Justice, Office of the Children’s Guardian, the NDIS, Youth Support Services and Community Housing, and that the organisation operates in accordance with funding agreements.

Skills Required
You’re an energetic, passionate and visionary leader who brings a proven track record in organisational development and leadership in the context of change and transition. You have progressed your executive career ideally within a child protection, out-of-home care or other complex service delivery environment.
You’re politically astute with innate advocacy and engagement skills, committed to cultural safety and inclusivity in leadership, decision-making, and organisational processes.
With experience overseeing program development and delivery, you have an excellent understanding of the federal, state and local government policy context for the delivery of family, youth and children’s services, particularly in the area of out-of-home-care.

Skills Required
