The Organisation

The Blue Knot Foundation is the National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma, advocating and providing support to those who have experiences, and those who support them personally and professionally. The Foundation’s core mission is to empower adult survivors by offering a range of critical services that include:
  • The Blue Knot Helpline, which provides trauma-informed Telehealth counselling, information, and referrals to support adult survivors of complex trauma mostly from childhood experiencing the mental health impacts of their trauma, as well as their supporters and professionals.
  • The Redress Support Service which offers free, independent, and confidential telephone support for people engaging with the National Redress Scheme, helping survivors navigate the application process and achieve redress.
Blue Knot also provide other externally focused support services that include educational workshops, professional development training, supervision and consultancy.

The Role

This senior leadership team role is responsible for all of Blue Knot’s telehealth services delivering complex trauma counselling, information and referral. All services are accredited with the National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards, with a new service expected to be funded in the new financial year. 
  
You will be accountable for ensuring the delivery, and continuous improvement, of integrated, quality trauma-informed culturally safe Telehealth services.  Informed by complex trauma best practice and process efficiency, you will refine and embed governance and operational frameworks and processes to create operational efficiencies and meet compliance and funding KPI’s.
  
You will be expected to work in a dynamic environment in which performance focused trauma-informed leadership and robust change management processes are critical. This role is full time with some of the Telehealth services operational 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
  
The role is currently home-based, with a requirement to attend meetings and workshops at locations as required. Current Police Check and Working with Children Check clearances maintained for duration of employment. WH&S compliant with a safe dedicated home workspace with reliable internet.


Skills Required

You’re an experienced, resilient and inspiring leader with leadership maturity who anticipates future needs, fosters a culture of continuous growth, champions innovation, supports others through change and the delivery of service and operational excellence. You’re also a strong performance coach with demonstrated outcomes in building capability of managers and leads.
  
In conjunction with maintaining oversight of current services, you’re able to lead the implementation of new services from concept through to delivery, aligned with organisational strategy, service models, clinical frameworks and operational processes.
  
You are a systems thinker who ensures consistent quality outcomes through data-driven decision making, service and service pathways design. You have the ability to engage positively within and across functions, build trust and strong mutually beneficial partnerships with other service providers across sectors. Your experience includes delivering trauma-informed culturally safe clinical services to complex trauma clients, preferably within a telehealth environment and the tertiary qualifications to match.
