The Organisation
  
Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) provides general practitioners, skin cancer doctors and nurses with direct access to the latest knowledge and practical skills to improve the identification and treatment of skin cancer.
  
SCCA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, and is the peak body representing and supporting over 1200 skin cancer medical practitioners in both Australia and New Zealand. The organisation is committed to supporting the professional development of its members and the delivery of skin cancer education, advocacy and standards.

The Role
  
Working collaboratively and as an integral member of a small team, you will support the Events and Marketing Team Leader in the delivery and administration of educational events including courses and workshops and the annual SCCA conference.
  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the full cycle of event delivery from post-contract to event completion
  • Coordinating event requirements with venues, sponsors and suppliers
  • Liaising with and supporting sponsors regarding enquires and delivery of sponsorship inclusions
  • Managing accommodation and travel arrangements for staff and course presenters
Skills Required
  
You have experience working within a team to successfully coordinate and support the delivery of conferences or events. You’re a self-starter who demonstrates initiative, adaptability and excellent attention to detail. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will ensure you can work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  
Additionally you have:
  • Understanding of event planning and ordering requirements
  • Experience and confidence liaising with external contractors and suppliers
  • Ability to communicate effectively and support relationships with sponsors
  • Flexibility and willingness to attend and provide support at events
