The Role

Reporting into the GM ‑ Marketing, Communications and Fundraising, this newly created position will be responsible to develop, implement, evaluate and proactively manage a new and refreshed strategic fundraising plan. Working collaboratively with the marketing and communications team and in consult with key executives, you will manage a range of fundraising activities including grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, bequests, major donor and fundraising campaigns. Specifically, you will; 

• Build effective and ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the grant process, creating compelling submissions in consult with inhouse writer
• Drive donor acquisitions and reactivate campaigns for consumer and corporate sectors
• Promote the knowledge of bequest programs across the organisation
• Attend and assist in the organisation of fundraising events
• Drive results to meet set revenue targets
• Source and manage high net worth individual giving donors and corporate sponsors

Skills Required

This role is suited to a hands-on fundraising professional, offering demonstrated ability in creating and implementing various end to end fundraising programs within complex and dynamic organisations.  As a natural leader you have the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and inspire your colleagues. You have excellent all-round communication skills with a creative and innovative thinking style along with acumen across one or more of the following: sales prospecting, revenue generation, analysis, financial management and relationship management. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to make a difference and align with mecwacares values of Caring, Accountability, Respect and Ethics.  Ideally you offer relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or related field and are competent on Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
