The Role
The communications lead is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of Seniors Rights Service through developing and delivering all external marketing, communications products, services and messages for the organisation.
You will work collaboratively across the organisation with internal clients to maximise stakeholder engagement with Seniors Rights Service’s programs, projects and services, you will deliver quality and timely external strategic communications, writing compelling content across all channels and ensuring brand guidelines and best practice are met.
The communications lead will work, with one direct report, within the organisation to create one voice and brand while building Seniors Rights Service’s reputation with key external stakeholders. You will be a key member of the leadership team and are a flexible, hands-on communicator and relationship builder with a responsive, dynamic approach.

Skills Required
You will have experience in external strategic communications with a demonstrated knowledge in developing and delivering quality marketing strategies, content and outcomes. You will possess extensive experience in establishing and implementing successful marketing and communications plans.
You have proven writing and editing skills with the ability to convey strong outcomes and to deliver reports and briefings notes, alongside your experience in digital media strategy and knowledge of key tools.
You will possess strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills and hopefully be well networked across the communications and media component of the not-for-profit sector.
You hold a tertiary qualification or extensive demonstrated experience in marketing and communications and a willingness to obtain an annual flu vaccination, be fully COVID vaccinated and complete a National Criminal History check.
