Our client is a for purpose mental health organisation committed to empowering recovery and enabling people affected by trauma. Offering a range of important services, this team’s mission is to support and empower people and their supporters, carers, and advocates by providing emotional support, referrals, and information.

The Role
  
This interim team leader role will include day-to-day management of a medium sized telehealth team and will include but not be limited to:
  • Lead the clinical phone counselling team
  • Providing debriefings to senior counsellors
  • Managing client complaints and provide accurate reporting
  • Responsible for employee timesheets and leave approval
  • Support for senior counsellors regarding staff rostering
  • Internal and external stakeholder relationship management

Skills Required
  
You will be an experienced clinical team lead and have a genuine passion for supporting individuals, their families and carers living with a disability and will possess the following:
  • Post Graduate studies in psychology, social work or counselling (or other relevant field)
  • Counselling practice experience
  • Experience in leading clinical/counselling teams preferably including telehealth
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and management skills
  • A demonstrated understanding of appropriate counselling/practice frameworks
  • The ability to manage professional services via telephone and online modalities
