The Organisation
Road Trauma Support Group NSW (RTSG NSW) is the voice for those killed by an illegal act of a road user. RTSG NSW provide support for victims of road trauma and campaign for legislative and policy reform to ensure more effective connected support systems are in place to support road trauma victims. RTSG NSW advocate evidence-based research and collaboration to help create positive change.
RTSG NSW currently has an auspice arrangement with the Homicide Victims Support Group NSW and by this arrangement has a shared service arrangement and charitable status.
The Role
With an organisational focus on the facilitation of effective support to families affected by road trauma across NSW, you will work closely with the Board to deliver strategic priorities and operational leadership. As a change agent, you will drive reforms and raise the voice of road trauma victims in the media, with policy makers, politicians, and the wider community.

- Establish RTSG NSW as a sustainable and independent not for profit
- Grow and enhance the peer-to-peer community support network
- Drive the development and delivery of a trauma informed integrated support system
- Oversee governance, risk management, legal, financials and accurate reporting
- Build strong partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders, working groups, funders and volunteers
- Create an engaged and motivated team with a high level of expertise and performance
Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of governance and compliance and experience supporting boards
- Capacity to take difficult stands and manage situations that may include trauma
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement across working groups, government, business, academic and community
