The Organisation
Seed is Australia's first Indigenous Youth Climate Network, building a movement led by and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to protect country, culture and communities from the causes and impacts of climate change.
Seed provide platforms for Indigenous young people to build their skills, confidence and networks to lead action on climate justice campaigns in their communities. Since launching in 2014, Seed has rapidly grown to be a powerful, national grassroots network of volunteers across the country. They elevate the voices of First Nations people to lead solutions to the climate crisis and to create change.

Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of a long-term fundraising strategy and empowering your team to achieve targets and budgets.

Skills Required
You will have experience growing fundraising income through the stewardship of key relationships, combined with leadership skills. Ideally you will come from a movement building or campaigning organisation within climate, environmental, human rights, social justice, or a similar values-driven social change organisation.

The Role
Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of a long-term fundraising strategy and empowering your team to achieve targets and budgets.
You will:
- Manage the regular giving, major donor and bequests programs
- Track, evaluate and report on campaign financial and non-financial outcomes
- Build and manage relationships with donors and prospects including direct solicitation
- Ensure sound donor journey and pathway strategies are implemented
- Produce and deliver compelling communications using a range of channels and technologies
Skills Required
You will have experience growing fundraising income through the stewardship of key relationships, combined with leadership skills. Ideally you will come from a movement building or campaigning organisation within climate, environmental, human rights, social justice, or a similar values-driven social change organisation.
Additionally, you will have:
- A solid understanding of relationship, major donor and regular giving fundraising
- The ability to create compelling proposals and a persuasive case for support
- Built rapport with internal and external stakeholders across complex environments
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities
- Led a small team of staff or volunteers to achieve goals and increase revenue
- Proficiency in budget forecasting and monitoring
- Ability to travel throughout Australia
