The Organisation

Blue Knot Foundation’s core mission is to empower the recovery of adult survivors of complex trauma. They offer a range of important services including the Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service, National Counselling and Referral Service (NCRS) for people with disability and trauma experiences, educational workshops, professional development training, supervision, consultancy and other services.

The Role

Reporting to the President, this is a newly created contract role to design, develop and embed a fit for purpose, organisational wide, project management and program framework to integrate all projects, processes and disciplines throughout the organisation.
  
You will also determine an overarching strategic program of work based on the review of current and planned projects against organisational and strategic objectives.  You will apply the framework to guide planning and delivery in consultation with the executive team and the responsible business area.
  
This is a stand-alone change management role that will require organisational coordination, collaboration and sensitive but empowering engagement.
  
Additionally, you will:
  • Develop a roadmap for the program of work, including initial communication with stakeholders and for ongoing management and tracking.
  • Establish project planning and delivery lifecycles, supportive processes, documentation and disciplines.
  • Train and mentor relevant staff in project planning and implementation.
  • Set up Asana as the work management tool to assist the alignment and recording of all projects with overarching program of work.
  • Coach executive and leadership team members, business area owners and project team members in adoption and integration of the program framework and project processes.
Skills Required
  
We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in working within project and program management frameworks and who has successfully created such frameworks and supporting processes within small to medium organisations. You will have formal project management qualifications, alongside tertiary qualifications in business administration or related disciplines and ideally would be experienced in using Asana or similar software. You will have demonstrated experience in training and mentoring staff members in project planning and delivery.
  
You will use an investigative and collaborative approach with an adaptable and motivational leadership style that allows you to positively address challenges.
  
You will have achieved success in leading and project managing multiple competing cross-functional initiatives across a significant and diverse stakeholder group and delivering mission critical organisational outcomes.
