The Organisation
With a vision of a just and thriving Asia powered by renewable energy, Tara Climate Foundation is a new and rapidly expanding philanthropic initiative focusing on South, Southeast, and East Asia (excluding China and India). Tara Climate supports think tanks, civil society, research organisations, and other non-state actors to accelerate Asia’s energy transformation.
Tara plays three main roles in the region: providing grants to a diverse group of partners in the region, constantly developing and assessing strategy, and convening partners within and across borders.
The issue of climate change makes up just 2% of philanthropic giving worldwide, with that figure being even smaller in Asia. Significantly more resources are needed to combat climate change in this decisive decade.

The role is responsible of all aspects of human resources, including designing and overseeing systems and policies, recruitment and hiring, on boarding, professional development, and team and manager development. Working closely with the CEO and senior team, your work will ensure a vibrant culture, high staff engagement, and the integration of values into every aspect of Tara’s work.
You will serve as a key thought partner providing insightful, innovative thinking and problem solving on leadership and coaching, performance management, learning and development, and HR-related legal and reputational risk. The role will be responsible for building and nurturing a people-centric organisation that attracts the best people, creates a great place to work enabling sustainable growth. You will keep abreast of best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies, and knowledge of trends in HR and employment.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in similar positions, ideally in a global context, some understanding of regional employment laws, significant leadership experience across the full spectrum of HR operations with success in recruiting and retaining high performing, diverse talent across multiple countries.
