The Financial Services Unit manages the University's financial reporting, compliance functions and delivery of corporate financial services.  It supports the University with its centralised financial services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, travel, strategic procurement and payroll services.

The Role

Working across a multi-disciplinary team, you will undertake a range of financial transaction processing and provide support and advice to internal stakeholders in relation to financial policy, processes and compliance.
  
Responsibilities will include:
  • Processing customer billing, purchase requisitions and supplier invoices
  • Reconciling and processing credit card transactions and out-of-pocket reimbursements
  • Training and supporting staff users on finance systems
  • Supporting the department with project work when required
Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large organisation, be able to communicate complex financial information to others while contributing to a high-performing environment and managing competing demands.
  • Relevant finance qualification and experience in a financial administration role
  • Experience in a data entry environment with excellent accuracy and high levels of attention to detail
  • Experience in validation, analysis and problem solving of financial transactions
  • Proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Office suite, TechnologyOne Core Enterprise Suite (CES), and SAP Concur.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant taxation legislation, policy and procedures.
