The Organisation
Save the Children has been working in Thailand since 1984, delivering lasting changes for children in Thailand in the areas of child protection, education, and child safety.

The establishment of effective child protection mechanisms remains one of the main challenges to ensure that all children enjoy full rights to survival, development, protection, and participation.

One key protection issue is ‘children on the move’. Thailand is a destination for migration from neighbouring countries with over a million migrant workers from Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. Thailand also hosts 85,000 Myanmar refugees, the majority of whom live in camps along the Thailand/ Myanmar border.

The Role

Working within the newly transformed regional structure that includes Myanmar and Sri Lanka, you will provide overall direction and leadership in developing and executing strategy and shaping organisational culture and  identity with a focus on motivating and engaging your staff to successfully deliver programs addressing child deprivation and inequity.

Crucially you will drive advocacy, representing Thailand in key national and international forums and networks, whilst ensuring the effective management in operations including finance, people & culture, communication, marketing, fundraising and partnerships.

Skills Required
You’re currently in a senior leadership role in an international NGO, the UN or international organisation, a like-minded corporate, or government body.
You have a long record of accomplishment and a deep understanding of the risk-based approach in developing, leading, and managing large-scale programs, projects and/or institutions.

You have the ability to initiate and nurture senior relationships, influence government and civil society, and drive change management, communications and resource generation.

Solving complex issues through analysis to define a clear way forward ensuring multiple stakeholder buy-in is second nature to you.
Fluency in speaking and writing in both Thai and English is essential.
