Seniors Rights Service has been assisting older Australians as the leading provider of legal services, aged care advocacy, rights education and information to seniors in NSW, since 1986. Seniors Rights Service provides support and resourcing to older people to know and assert their rights.
They have a free legal service, aged care advocacy and education service and they provide social support and deliver community education and information of relevance to older people across NSW.

The Role
The executive assistant (EA) role provides the chief executive officer with high level administrative and operational support to ensure the office of the CEO is effective, functional and responsive. As the EA you will provide confidential, professional support and high level administrative and planning. 
In this role you will liaise with senior managers, team members as well as a broad range of stakeholders including board members, government representatives and departments, other advocacy services, external businesses and relevant state and national organisations.
You will assist with preparation of proposals, power point presentations, and reports for meetings and stakeholder presentations as well as providing input to the development of systems and processes to streamline regional activity and service delivery. You will also provide support to the CEO for diary management, travel and expenses, internal document preparation, drafting high level written correspondence and will undertake project planning and coordination for specific projects.

Skills Required

You will have previous experience as an executive assistant, preferably in a small to medium NGO, with high levels of attention to detail and quality, strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines. To be successful in this role you will also possess:
  • Experience in organisational effectiveness, operations management
  • Demonstrated understanding of human resource management, policies and procedures
  • Skills in developing and implementing organisational systems and processes in the NGO sector
  • Understanding of the challenges that small organisations face
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office 365 and confident in systems management.
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
