About the Asia Communications Manager position
The role of the Regional Communications Manager is to lead on supporting 350.org to grow its campaign strategy on community-led energy climate solutions/just transition to renewable energy. This includes managing regional coordinators, developing an ongoing direct (digital) and indirect (media) communications strategy to support 350.org’s relevant regional campaigns and aligning this strategy with our global communications objectives.


Key outputs will be:
  • Identifying opportunities for amplification of regional content globally
  • Input into regional campaign and program/project strategies
  • Regular media analysis for key regional campaigns and priority moments
  • Outline of quarterly and yearly work plan for regional communications
  • Maintaining alignment between program and communications strategies
  • Managing media relations
  • Juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and remaining calm, positive, and task oriented in chaotic environments.


Required Qualifications:
  • Six years of experience in communications, advocacy campaigns
  • Skilled at managing processes of research and policy development
  • Understanding of the regional media landscape
  • Willingness to become knowledgeable on environmental and climate change news media
  • Strong communication, facilitation and training skills to help guide remote and diverse teams
  • Excellent English abilities and an Asian language
  • A resilient and flexible team player who can handle a fast paced, high pressure, highly collaborative team culture 
  

Compensation:

Local Asian salary ranges
  • IDR 558M, JPY 8.835M, PHP 2.46M, TWD 1.23M, VND 544K
Location: Asia, this is a remote position.
