The Organisation

Flourish Australia is one of the largest providers of psychosocial mental health support services in Australia.  With approximately 1000 staff and 74 sites in four states, Flourish Australia brings program diversity, a commitment to quality and a passion for supporting people to achieve their life goals.

Flourish Australia’s services include supporting people to find and make a home, to make friends, get involved and learn new things, and working with people to find employment. These services are built on a culture that embodies the organisation’s values, with a strong focus on the involvement, respect and leadership of people with lived experience of a mental health issue, and the inclusion of families and carers.

The Role

Reporting to the general manager, operations and working as part of a dynamic senior management team, you will be required to oversee and further develop operations in the East Melbourne region.  This region is very much in the growth phase and as such will benefit from an individual that not only offers senior management expertise, but that is also motivated by the opportunity to apply their entrepreneurial mind to drive new business within the region.

This will include maximising current partnerships and relationships whilst identifying new opportunities within relevant bodies in the community to expand the client portfolio and services. Specifically you will also;
  • Manage the team, resources of the services and associated financial reporting
  • Ensure services are delivered timely and comply with quality practice standards
  • Provide financial, technical and professional advice
  • Develop your knowledge and philosophy of standards, QA principles, policies and WH&S

Skills Required

You are a seasoned business development professional with an ability to work collaboratively with leadership and senior management experience. Your creativity and business acumen will support your ability to identify and grow quality and reciprocal partnerships.

A knowledge of service delivery within health, disability, mental health or related industries and experienced understanding of the NDIS would be advantageous, including a lived experience but not essential.  Offering a well-developed network within the industry, you’re able to identify, research and recommend programs, services and client groups. You have an adaptable style that enables you to feel comfortable working in complex human environments.  Degree qualifications within behavioural sciences or a health-related discipline is required.

If you are passionate about supporting people to achieve their life goals, then apply now by submitting your resume and cover letter addressing the skills required above. Alternatively, please call Gemma Schade on 03 8080 8977 for a further discussion.
