The Role

Reporting to the CEO, this interim role leads the Commercial Team, including Finance, IT and Facilities functions, in a collaborative effort to ensure ECMS is operating at an optimal level. This role has responsibility for collaborating with the executive team in the implementation of the financial strategy, enterprise risk, planning, stewardship and integrity of financial processes to enable ECMS to achieve its objectives and shape the emerging long-term organisational strategy.

Specifically you will -
  • Develop financial strategies for growth and sustainability
  • Oversee financial year end and budgeting processes
  • Assist with the implementation of a new organisational reporting system
  • Offer proactive strategic counsel to the Board and the Executive informed by contemporary financial analysis
  • Manage and coach the finance team to drive performance and accountability
  • Oversee IT, procurement, maintenance and facilities, payroll and a small number of outsourced service providers

Skills Required

To be successful in this role you will have-
  • Proven team leadership experience at an executive finance level
  • In depth knowledge of management and financial accounting 
  • A qualification in accounting or related discipline
  • Strong business and financial acumen in overseeing resources and budgets
  • Influencing and communicating skills to engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • A nuanced understanding of change within organisations
