About the Role
Based in Katherine, this role leads the delivery of the Play2Learn and Kids Connect programs, supporting children and families across the region. As Team Leader, you will provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to a dedicated team, of practitioners, ensuring services are high quality, child-centred, and culturally responsive. The team is based in Katherine and in Darwin.

You will:
- Lead, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary team of practitioners
 - Oversee day-to-day operations, reporting, and compliance
 - Build effective relationships with stakeholders, communities, and referral partners
 - Drive program quality and continuous improvement aligned to 54 reasons’ Practice Framework
 - Manage risks to service delivery, staff wellbeing, and child safeguarding
 - Advocate within the broader service system for children, parents, and carers
 
Skills and Experience Required
You’re a motivated and compassionate leader with experience in community, early years, or family support services. You’re confident managing teams and building strong local partnerships to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
You also have:
- Experience leading or supervising teams in community or family programs
 - Worked with families experiencing complex adversity or disadvantage
 - Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding frameworks
 - Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
 - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
 - Qualification in Community Services, Education, or related discipline
