The Organisation
Established in 1998, Galambila is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living on Gumbaynggirr land (Coffs Harbour).
Galambila is committed to the delivery of high quality, comprehensive primary health care that is sustainable and culturally relevant for their clients and is the largest employer of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the area, providing opportunities for community to work in and with community.
Serving the Aboriginal communities of Coffs Harbour, Urunga, Bellingen and Woolgoolga, and providing outreach services at Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Galambila also collaborates in service delivery across the broader region with other communities.

With a successful track record in the delivery of a diverse range of programs and services, you have a collaborative and flexible leadership style and proven ability to work calmly and kindly and think strategically under pressure.
You bring knowledge, respect and support for the cultural values and practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples together with demonstrated understanding of the issues impacting the health status of communities and current initiatives to improve Aboriginal health outcomes.

- Review and refine the strategic plan and organisation structure
- Motivate, develop and empower staff to build capacity and achieve quality outputs
- Identify priority health needs within the community
- Review and adapt process, policy and procedure frameworks to align with best practice
- Oversee organisational governance, risk management, contractual compliance and attainment of accreditation standards
You have developed your executive career in the health, social welfare, community or development sectors. - Financial management experience including budgeting and program management
- Negotiation and management of both government funded programs and self-generated income
