Marketing Manager

As NGO Recruitment’s resident authority on marketing, Maria focuses on strong branding, and creating engagement funnels that draw in candidates and motivate them to take action. She creates positive perceptions and trust that underpins fast and fruitful recruitment.

Maria has proven marketing chops gained through formal qualifications and more than 10 years’ experience in roles with senior-level responsibility for advertising, branding, communications and digital marketing. She’s certified in content marketing, social media marketing and Google Analytics, which enables her to make the most of digital strategies and bring a data-driven edge to her work.

Maria’s understanding of both classic tactics and the latest trends are critical to her success in making NGO Recruitment’s platforms and communication channels appealing—supporting a receptive candidate pool and high levels of exposure for clients’ advertised roles. She develops campaigns that leverage and grow NGO Recruitment’s candidate database and social media communities including a follower base of around 300,000 on LinkedIn.

Day-to-day, her methodical and hands-on style is guided by deep insights into what does and doesn’t work, and is motivated by a desire to support recruiters—by augmenting their finely-honed networks and sourcing skills.

Prior to joining NGO Recruitment in 2022, Maria led the marketing function of a national recruitment firm, and before that held marketing positions in diverse industries including construction and tourism. Maria has a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, multiple diplomas in marketing from Australian and overseas institutions, and has completed training in inbound and content marketing via the HubSpot Academy.

Her non-marketing pursuits include travel, hiking and exploring cultural events. Maria volunteers for One Meal to provide hot dinners for homeless and at-risk people across Sydney and also uses her Russian language skills to reduce social isolation for elderly nursing home residents of Russian heritage via the Community Visitor Scheme.
