As the go-to consultant for helping clients hire permanent, temporary and contract roles, Debbie brings incredible forethought, speed and adaptability to the NGO Recruitment team. Drawing on more than 15 years’ recruiting experience and her inherently energetic nature, she prides herself on finding the ideal candidate.
From core positions such as CEOs, donor supporters, accountants and administrators—through to emerging specialist roles in advocacy, digital transformation, and compliance—Debbie has successfully placed more than 250 candidates with a variety of Australian non-profits, particularly in the health, community services and animal welfare sectors.
She’s played a key role in growing the Australian team for global animal welfare group Four Paws since 2017, with an emphasis on hiring effective fundraisers. It’s a cause close to Debbie’s own heart: she regularly donates to charities that make a difference for animals.
Preparation is Debbie’s superpower when it comes to sourcing long- and short-term staff. She keeps a close eye on market trends and in-demand professions, and actively nurtures and vets a pool of available candidates. She can often find talent within days to replace leaders, fill maternity leave roles, or to build out a team for organisations funded to deliver a new project.
Debbie is skilled at putting people at ease and remains open to clients’ and candidates’ unique needs and qualities—the value of this friendly and flexible approach is evidenced by the large amount of referrals she receives from previous clients and jobseekers.
Before joining NGO Recruitment in 2017, Debbie held senior recruiting roles with multiple, international recruitment firms in the UK and Australia.
