The Role
Reporting to the Director of Development, this role will lead the development and growth of Asthma Australia’s Gifts in Wills program as a core component of long-term sustainable income, while contributing to broader institutional funding strategies.
You will design supporter journeys, stewardship pathways and legacy propositions that build long-term relationships with supporters. Working closely with Marketing, Digital and Service Delivery teams, you will embed legacy messaging across campaigns and communications, ensuring the program is integrated into the wider supporter experience.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the Gifts in Wills strategy, budget and growth targets
- Develop and embed a future-focused Gifts in Wills program
- Identify and steward legacy prospects, building long-term supporter relationships
- Develop compelling legacy cases for support and impact narratives
- Integrate legacy messaging into campaigns and supporter communications
- Develop case materials and impact reporting for legacy audiences
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting and reporting
- Ensure stewardship and recognition reflects best-practice ethical fundraising
- Experience securing income from Trusts and Foundations is desirable
Skills Required
You bring experience in relationship-based fundraising, with a strong understanding of long-term donor engagement and supporter journeys.
You will also bring:
- Strong experience establishing or scaling a Gifts in Wills program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling legacy narratives
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
- Strategic mindset with learning agility and evidence-based decision making
- Experience contributing to sustainable income growth within a mission-driven organisation
- Digital fundraising or CRM/marketing automation exposure
- Experience in health, community or purpose-driven organisations
