The Organisation

Recoolit is a seed-stage American climate tech startup on a mission to prevent 1 billion tCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Since launching operations in Indonesia in 2021, we've prevented over 15,000 to 28,0000 tCO2e of emissions from across 100+ property sites and secured a multi-year contract to sell carbon credits to Google.

Our fully traceable carbon credit platform targets "super pollutants": refrigerant gases that are thousands of times more potent than CO2 when released into the atmosphere. We partner with Indonesia's largest companies to capture and properly dispose of these gases, and we are backed by veteran Silicon Valley investors.


The Role

This is a hands-on, execution-focused growth leadership role reporting to the General Manager. You will take ownership of business development and growth strategy, leading from the front initially while building a scalable team over time. The role requires a credible sales leader who can lead a high performing team and drive commercial results in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring structure, discipline, and momentum to a high-volume lead environment, personally executing business development while recruiting and scaling a BD team as growth accelerates. This isa hands-on role requiring a leader who can roll up their sleeves, execute, and bring others with them.


What you will do:

• Own business development and growth strategy end-to-end and manage the team.
• Personally drive growth and close deals while introducing structure to lead management.
• Bring clarity to lead prioritisation and follow-through in a high-volume environment.
• Recruit, build, and scale a BD team (ideally to 5–10 people) as the business grows.
• Work peer-to-peer with Head of Partnerships and Development and Head of Operations.

Skills Required

You are an ambitious and agile, entrepreneurial sales leader with proven experience recruiting, building, and scaling a BD or growth team. Your work demonstrates your strong hands-on style business development capability and your excellent relationship management and influencing skills. Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed or unicorn-style start-up environment, with high lead volume, is a strong advantage. You should also be highly motivated to join Recoolit’s mission of reducing GHG emissions. To be successful, you will bring:

• At least 7+ years' experience in a senior growth, BD, or commercial leadership role.
• Ability to operate in fast, entrepreneurial, ambiguous while the business is scaling.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Confidence and experience to manage change without ego and with respect.
