The Role
Based in New Delhi, India, and reporting to the global COO, in this brand-new role you will support the India country office set up and core operations and procedures build out. Working with dynamic and driven team members in both Sequoia’s California headquarters (HQ) and in India, your role supports all core multifunctional operations and oversees budget and expenditure.
You will be responsible for identifying and organizing all necessary resources, including local financial processes, establishing daily office operations, managing local vendors, and coordinating with the India Program Director, General Counsel, and HQ.
Other responsibilities include providing operational guidance to localize global policies and procedures, ensuring sound governance, and operating at high policy levels. You will also engage in and support organization-wide learning and development for the country and support the India Program Director with local events and ecosystem networking.
Skills Required
With strong generalist operational set-up and scale-up experience, ideally gained in a foundation or similar organization, and with exposure to grant making or philanthropy, you understand how non-profit organizations function. Importantly, you are eager to help accelerate the regional energy transition by leveraging your financial acumen, can-do attitude, and operational management skills.
You are a highly organized, solutions-focused operations manager and networker, able to work across both detail and strategy. - Native level fluency in an Indian language, preferably Hindi, and local working rights.
