The Economic Policy Officer supports the Director of Economic Regulation through analysis, research, and administration to advocate for consumers in the regulation of the National Broadband Network. Duties include:

The Role
The Economic Policy Officer supports the Director of Economic Regulation through analysis, research, and administration to advocate for consumers in the regulation of the National Broadband Network. Duties include:
- Analyse and summarise policy papers, regulatory documents, and economic data
- Provide administrative support including scheduling and data organisation
- Assist with consumer outreach and representation
- Provide briefings and draft reports on economic policy matters
Skills Required
As a recent graduate, you will have an interest in Australian consumer rights, familiarity with economic concepts, and have an aptitude for research and analysis. To be successful in this role you will be able to contribute to a variety of tasks and be willing to learn. Additionally, you have:
- General understanding of communications consumer policy issues and public policy
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- A commitment to social justice and consumer advocacy
- Ability to analyse data, conduct research, and interpret economic and policy documents
- Confidence to work both collaboratively and independently, including in community sector settings
- Relevant tertiary qualification, plus proficiency in ICT including Microsoft Office
