About Support Act
Support Act is a registered charity that provides crisis relief, mental health and wellbeing support to musicians, artist managers, crew and music workers across all genres of music who are in crisis or who are experiencing, or are at risk of, psychological distress.
Support Act’s mental health and wellbeing services are available to all people who work in the creative industries. These include the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline, a free counselling service that can be accessed by calling #1800 959 500, and a range of prevention, education and training workshops and resources.

About the Role
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Programs Manager oversees the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of prevention education and training initiatives across the music and creative industries. Reporting to the CEO, this position is instrumental in expanding and enhancing mental health support programs, ensuring their accessibility and effectiveness for music- and creative industry workers.

You are a dynamic leader with a strong background in mental health, wellbeing, or health promotion, and an understanding of the music and creative industries. You have experience leading and managing large-scale programs or projects and have strong grant-writing and funding management experience.

- Overseeing the design and delivery of Prevention Education and Training (PET) workshops and online resources
- Managing and enhancing the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline and supplementary services
- Driving strategic development, including new projects, services, and funding models
- Representing Support Act to stakeholders and industry and advocating for mental health initiatives
- Securing and managing grant funding to support mental health programs
- Leading a high-performing team and fostering a positive workplace culture

You are a dynamic leader with a strong background in mental health, wellbeing, or health promotion, and an understanding of the music and creative industries. You have experience leading and managing large-scale programs or projects and have strong grant-writing and funding management experience.
Your experience also includes:
- Designing and developing learning strategies and programs
- Strong leadership, advocacy, communication, and team collaboration
- Coordination of research across the sector to determine program needs
- Analyse and interpret program data to effectively demonstrate impact
