Reporting to the General Manager – Services, you will apply your technical vocational expertise and work in partnership with line managers and people & culture to design and deliver programs which have positive organisational impact. You will be responsible for researching and identifying areas of development and analysing the needs of the workforce and broader family violence sector together with the design of effective, fee-for-service initiatives to raise funds. You are a leader with extensive experience in sector and practice development who can critically review internal processes and provide training needs analysis whilst successfully leading large scale, multi project training programs. Managing a sizeable team of education specialists, you will have led the design and implementation of effective training programs in line with organisational objectives and sector-wide needs. The Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Services, you will apply your technical vocational expertise and work in partnership with line managers and people & culture to design and deliver programs which have positive organisational impact. You will be responsible for researching and identifying areas of development and analysing the needs of the workforce and broader family violence sector together with the design of effective, fee-for-service initiatives to raise funds. Specifically you will:
- Manage two direct reports and the wider workforce development team
- Analyse and identify knowledge gaps of practitioners and professionals in the sector
- Design, implement and project manage training and development programs
- Increase revenue through leveraging opportunities for paid service offerings
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and review workplace development policies in line with organisation’s strategic plan
Skills Required

- Qualification in either Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, or similar
- Minimum Diploma level in Education (vocational) and solid understanding of the VET sector
- Experience working with the vocational/higher education sector
- Demonstrated success working to budgets, reporting and meeting funding requirements
- Proven ability to develop and implement large scale, multi-project training programs
- Ideally you have experience working within the community services sector however not essential
