The Organisation

Laughter is the best medicine. Come, make a difference, and use your skills for The Humour Foundation, we believe in the therapeutic benefits of humour in improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable Australians. We spread ‘doses’ of fun and laughter to people in need across Australia, improving the quality of life for people in hospitals, health and aged care facilities. International research has demonstrated the physiological and psychological benefits of laughter to health and well-being, and this underpins our evidence-based practice.

Imagine being a sick kid in hospital, in need of a friend to play, laugh and smile with – that’s the magic of Clown Doctors! There are clown doctors in 24 hospitals across Australia engaging with sick kids, families and hospital staff over 240,000 times a year.
