Gemma draws on a detail-oriented approach and more than 16 years’ recruitment experience to get results for her clients and candidates. A highly-motivated and dedicated consultant, Gemma has sourced a diverse range of permanent and contract roles for non-profits since joining NGO Recruitment in 2021.
Connecting with people comes naturally to Gemma and she builds rapport through her genuine desire to learn about clients’ and candidates’ aspirations and values. Her professionalism shines through in her attentive communication style and commitment to finding the best match for the role she is recruiting.
Gemma applies her insights into people’s needs to expertly provide both sourcing and outplacement services. She’s secured optimal candidates for a broad range of not-for-profits, including placing critical roles like CEOs, executive officers, HR managers, CFOs, and fundraising, development and philanthropy leaders.
Gemma skillfully recruits for organisations with distinctive requirements and cultures. She helped a peak body for educators to appoint a passionate candidate to advocate for equitable conditions for members; found the ideal person to roll-out a program to increase participation of women in construction; and placed a CEO up to the challenge of leading a camp to support at-risk indigenous youth in remote NSW.
Gemma’s work history includes leadership, operations and business development roles with a boutique Australian recruitment company in the international trade, logistics and supply chain sectors. She is experienced in sourcing the ideal talent for global organisations through to small not-for-profits.
Gemma aspires to set a great example for her three children, is a long-standing child sponsor through World Vision, and regularly donates to worthwhile causes—especially crisis support efforts.
