350.org is a growing international environmental organisation that is building a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis and is committed to the principles of justice, values new perspectives, ideas of all sorts and different ways of working.
ASEAN nationals or residents who have worked in two or more countries are encouraged to apply.
The Regional Director will be an experienced movement leader to oversee the programme in East and Southeast Asia in support of a growing team that is working passionately for a fossil free world and a just transition to renewable energy for all. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, an experienced campaigner and movement builder and will have the opportunity to shape global as well as regional strategy.
- Lead strategy development and oversee implementation across the programme areas
- Identify and develop opportunities for existing and finance campaigns
- Provide management support and grow the regional team
- Contribute to global change processes and decision-making of 350.org
- Maintain and expand partnerships and networks
You should have a minimum of 10 years’ work experience, including 5 years in a leadership role and 3+ years’ experience in leading across different countries and cultures. Extensive knowledge of cultural and political-economic realities across key countries in Asia, campaigning/activism work in Asian context(s) and experience of collaboration in regional or international coalitions or partner networks will be essential. You must have well-developed soft influencing skills and be a true ‘listener’ to diverse perspectives.
