The Organisation

RSPCA NSW is the voice for animals offering shelter, education, medical attention and love. The RSPCA are animal protectors, carers and guardians bringing solace to the abandoned, surrendered and injured. The organisation also prosecutes those who harm animals as part of the ongoing struggle for the humane treatment of all living things.

The bequest program raises up to $15 million annually and represents 50% of the overall donations received from the NSW community.

The Role

The main focus of this role is to increase the number of confirmed donors remembering RSPCA NSW in their Will, known as a bequest. You will manage a small and committed team in developing and promoting donor care and prospecting programs and oversee estate administration.

Working directly with the senior manager of planned giving you will develop and maintain the strategic direction whilst building, developing and nurturing strong relationships with donors and estate and financial planning professionals.

Coordinating with internal stakeholders you will ensure donors are always receiving thoughtful and engaging personal communications as you create compelling, meaningful marketing collateral for all promotional channels.

You will also be responsible for financial reporting and oversee all bequest data records whilst regularly conducting research and data mining to identify new prospects


Skills Required

An experienced people manager you will also have a passion for marketing systems and data. Ideally you will have bequest or relationship fundraising experience or alternatively a commercial career in marketing, or a related discipline, dealing with high-value customer relationships or maybe even estate planning.

You will have a passion for business development and be able to nurture customer relationships. Your experience will also include;

  • Confidence in working with data and statistics within a CRM framework
  • A goal-orientated outcome-focused approach to relationship development
  • The creation of a high-performing team culture and the achievement of milestones
